Well, it has been waaaaayyyyy too long since I have posted on here! Things have been moving at a pretty fast pace around here. Especially these kiddos of mine that just seem to get bigger and bigger every minute!
Kaden is nearly 5 months old now (what?!!!!). I’m not quite sure how that happened so fast but it’s here so I might as well face it. : ) He can now roll over (although he prefers to just lay on his side and spin himself in circles…hehehehe). He is eating all kinds of solid foods and so far the only vegetable he really likes is sweet potatoes. He is starting to warm up to carrots but he hates all the green ones! : ) He loves all fruits, except bananas (well, that’s technically not true…he loves bananas, bananas did not love him), he screamed all day long after bananas…..His reflux is much worse than Livie’s was and he has a pretty sensitive little tummy. He can only do rice cereal because oatmeal makes him very gassy and very miserable and applesauce is always guaranteed to make a blow out diaper every single time!
(Oh yeah, did I mention he could hold his own bottle now?!)
He loves to laugh and squeal and loves to be tickled (but not for too long) and he loves loves loves loooovvves his big sister!!
Kaden can now ride in the front of the cart at the grocery store and sits in high chairs at resteraunts….. annnnd we think he is getting a tooth (an eye tooth of all things on the bottom!).
This boy is just growing up too fast for Momma, but I am loving every second of it! All of the new things he is doing just melts my heart!
Olivia is just….amazing! LOL She is emotional and silly and so smart! We got her a Leapster Explorer for Christmas and she just plays learning games all the time! She is now tracing letters and shapes and learning how to make dumplings (LOL). We have been having some rough times with her lately though….she cries every day that she has to go to preschool (though she comes out with a huge grin on her face when I pick her up after school). I don’t’ really know what’s going on except that the class size has gotten larger and her teacher, Miss Jennie, can’t baby her as much. : ) She cries most nights at bed time and sometimes the smallest thing can hurt her little feelings….we seem to keep going through these stages. She gets better and then she gets emotional again….hmmmm…..I wonder who that reminds me of?! She is so much like me when I was a kid (and even into my adulthood). Talking things out with her seems to be the best solution and I can only hope this whole dropping her off at preschool thing gets better with some time.
She is just growing like a weed! She wears mostly 4t clothes now and today I actually had to go the “young girls” section to find her socks! She is my little mommy….my silly little goose….I just love that sweet Girl! : )
Copper….Oh what can I say about Copper?? He is a pain in my butt! LOL We do love that little Chiweenie but he sure is a wild little pup! Grandma Nene was not impressed with lack of bladder control all over her house at Christmastime let me tell you what! : ) : ) He is getting better but I think we still have a long ways to go. Copper and Olivia are just like siblings. They are best buds one minute and the next minute they are tears or yells. Olivia plays with him like he is another kid and he gets excited and then someone always ends up getting hurt (usually her).
Wayne and I have been good (just in case you were wondering)
He is such a saving grace to me lately….I just really appreciate everything he does when he comes home! I have recently started Weight Watcher’s and my goal is to be 150 pounds again so I have almost 60 pounds to lose. I lost 5.6 pounds the first week and have just started week 2! I really want…no I really am going to make this happen! Besides just wanting to be able to wear “normal” clothes again, the medical ramifications have just really been weighing on me lately. I just want to be healthy for my kids…I want my kids to know how to be healthy!
So…my Resolutions for the new year…..
To remember to post more blogs LOL! And to lost 60 pounds in one year!
Love you all!
